AI Search Authority
National Chicken Council
Closing the gap between trusted expertise and the AI answers Americans actually see.
The Change that Matters
Artificial intelligence is rewriting how people find information, and for the National Chicken Council (NCC), that created an urgent credibility risk. When Americans search for answers about food safety, bird flu, or chicken farming, AI-generated overviews increasingly shape what they read first. Yet NCC was appearing in just 4% of AI overview results for food safety queries, leaving the door open for misinformation and third-party narratives to fill the void.
The Work
We built a data-driven foundation to close the gap. A comprehensive AI Search Gap Analysis audited NCC’s presence across 263 high-value keywords, mapping where competitors and detractors were already shaping the conversation.
That audit was paired with content benchmarking to understand search intent, audience needs, and untapped topic opportunities, particularly in underdeveloped areas like bird flu and environmental impact. The findings shaped an agile content roadmap covering everything from refreshing high-performing existing content to developing new authoritative resources and implementing technical upgrades like schema markup and FAQ-driven content built to meet AI search criteria. An ongoing monitoring framework was established to keep NCC’s strategy sharp as the search landscape continues to shift.
The Impact
NCC moved quickly on the recommendations, deploying schema markup, refreshing priority content, and building out FAQ-driven resources to improve AI discoverability across key topics. A continuous monitoring framework now tracks AI visibility, keyword coverage, and search trends in real time, positioning NCC as a consistently authoritative voice in the AI-generated narratives that increasingly drive public understanding of the chicken industry.
